Indonesia had been through so many natural disasters that bring the saddest feeling to whoever hears the story. Some of them even happen recently, which everyone outside the disaster saw on social media.
Some of the villagers around the disaster area even had been struggled the most during the disaster happen. That brings the most sadness to those who survive and lost their home and their loved ones.

Toba Lake is the largest caldera in the world that was established by the Toba volcano eruption. The eruption is capable to creates a caldera lake within 100 km x 30 km. The active volcano of Toba is buried under the caldera because of the big explosion.

Tambora becomes one of the most beautiful mountains in Indonesia that bring the most active volcano activity up until now. Even so, the Tambora eruption caused darkness sky that spreads up to 1,200 km from the volcano.
The dark sky views also seen up to 600 km over the eruption that makes big climates changes that spreads into some country. The sound of the explosion was even heard by more than 2,000 km from the eruption.
Krakatau eruption becomes one of the worst Indonesian biggest natural disasters. It happen in the Sunda strait where the Krakatau volcano was located and erupted on 26 -27 August 1883. The mountain becomes one of the highest mountains in Indonesia which created the Anak Krakatau during the explosion.
Krakatau eruption took more than 36,000 people dead and made global climate change. It recorded that the eruption caused the dark sky in which the volcanic ashes covered the sun.
It happened within two and a half days and caused some tsunami around the islands such as Sumatra, Java, and even some of the shore of South Africa. Not an only tsunami, the eruption also caused the global temperature down drastically within a year.
The sound of eruption of Krakatau eruption heard up to 3,110 km which spreads up to West Australia, Perth, and the Mauritius Republic. Some earthquakes also happen in those countries with a big magnitude.
Merapi eruption in 1930 becomes one of the worst Indonesian biggest natural disasters. It destroyed more than 13 villages and more than 1,400 people were dead by the explosion.
Merapi becomes the most active volcano mountain in Indonesia that periodically erupted from time to time. The last eruption is on 7 December 2021, with no person dead. At around 2006, it was erupted with about 151 people dead.
Four years later, around 2010, the Merapi volcano eruption took more than 40 people dead. It also destroyed so many villager houses, public spaces, schools, hospitals, and other business places.
Flores tsunami becomes one of the worst Indonesian biggest natural disasters. It happened in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, on 12 December 1992, and destroyed most of the beautiful places in Eastern Indonesia. It swapped most of the seashore in Flores and took more than 2,100 persons dead.
Flores tsunami destroyed more than 100 houses, schools, and other public places. It recorder that more than 500 people were lost without knowing swapped by the tsunami. It caused the little earthquake after the tsunami that spreads up to Sikka regency, Ngada regency, Ende regency, and East Flores.
The last December of 2004 becomes the saddest moment ever. Not only for Indonesia but some of the countries around. The Aceh tsunami is happen at about 7:58 am on December 26, 2004, in Aceh, North Sumatra.
The Aceh tsunami happens because the earthquake reaches about 9.1 Mw – 9.3 Mw. It swapped most of Aceh regions and some of the countries outside Indonesia, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and the Maldives.
The Ache tsunami becomes the worst Indonesian biggest natural disaster in the last century. It took about 220,000 – 230,000 person dead, and others lost without knowing.
Yogyakarta earthquake becomes one of the worst Indonesian biggest natural disasters. It happen on 27 May 2006 which took more than 6,200 persons dead. It was also destroyed so many houses, schools, hospitals, and other public places.
Yogyakarta earthquake spreads in most of Central Java area and East Java. The earthquake is about a 5.9 magnitude body. That left so many traumatic feelings for those who survived the disasters.
West Sumatra earthquake becomes one of the worst Indonesian biggest natural disasters. It happen around 30 September 2009 and took more than 1,115 persons dead and destroyed most of West Sumatra areas.
West Sumatra earthquake has about 7.6 Magnitude bodies and spread up to Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei.
Earthquake Palu and Donggala become one of the worst Indonesian biggest natural disasters. It has about a 7.4 magnitude body which cause the biggest tsunami ever that swapped most of the Palu and Donggala area around 28 September 2018.
The earthquake and tsunami of Palu and Donggala took more than 1,400 persons dead and destroyed so many houses, buildings, public places, and business places.
