1. Sumatran Rhinoceros
Sumatran rhinoceros or it is popular with Badak Sumatra become one of the Indonesian rainforest endangered species. Their cycle of birth decreases in an amount from year to year which they only give birth about three or four every year.
Sumatran rhinoceros is one of the types of endangered mammals in Indonesia that need to be protected. That is why most of them are living in the rainforest conservative area.
Sumatran rhinoceros can easily find in most of Sumatran rainforest such as Bukit Barisan national park in Lampung, South Sumatra, Way Kambas national park in Lampung, and Leuser mount national park in Aceh.
2. Sumatran Tiger
Sumatran tiger becomes one of the most popular Indonesian rainforest endangered species. They are living in around Sumatran rainforest with a smaller body and darker skin that becomes one of the differences between Bornean and Sumatran Orang Utan.
Compared to another Indonesian tiger, the Sumatran tiger becomes dangerously endangered from time to time. Lately, in 2017, their species only found at about 68 Sumatran tigers which make them get the red category to be saved from the extinct.
The Indonesian government has already made the law to forbid illegal hunting towards Sumatran tigers since many years ago. But, deforestation and illegal logging make the species decrease loss in the amount.
3. Sumatran Orang Utan

Sumatran Orang Utan has lighter skin with a red shadow compared to other Orang Utans in Indonesia. Mostly they live in the higher tree to survive from other predators such as the Sumatran tiger and other predators.

4. Tapanuli Orang Utan
In the last few years, scientists found a new species of Orang Utan in Tapanuli, Sumatra Island. They have a different family from Sumatran and Kalimantan Orang Utan.
Most of Tapanuli Orang Utan live around the Tapanuli forest, which becomes one of the Indonesian rainforest endangered species. Their amount are lesser than Sumatran and Kalimantan Orang Utan.

5. Dwarf Tarsius
Dwarf Tarsius becomes one of the tiniest Indonesian rainforest endangered species. They lived around the low land of tropical rainforest, which lives to hang around the tree.
Lately, the amount of dwarf Tarsius is only left on four species around the rainforest of Sulawesi. It used to sentence extinct around 2018, but around 2020 they were found out in the rainforest near one of the mountains in Sulawesi.

Maleo is a kind of bird that becomes one of the Indonesian rainforest endangered species. They live around the low tropical rainforest, such as the Sulawesi forest. Their amount is decreasing rapidly from year to year that making the Indonesian government protect them under the law.
Maleo is a kind of bird that loves to walk around the land rather than fly in the sky. It looks similar to chicken, so sometimes people misunderstood their existence. Illegal hunting makes their existence becomes rare from time to time that leading to the most endangered animal in Indonesia.
7. Black Orchid
The black orchid becomes one of the most popular Indonesian rainforest endangered species. They live around the tropical rainforest in Kalimantan Island and Papua, which becomes one of the most beautiful flowers in the world.
Black orchid is not only popular in Indonesia but all around the world. Nowadays, there is a conservative area to plant them, so that can protect them from illegal hunting. You can find them at the Kebun Raya Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, as become one of the provinces with the largest forest in Indonesia.

8. Elephant of Borneo
Elephant of Borneo becomes one of the Indonesian rainforest endangered species. They lived around the lowland tropical rainforest with the sun, and trees can be passed easily for them.
The elephant of Borneo is a typical elephant that has a smaller size compared to other common elephants. Their maximum height is only about 2.6 meters tall, which looks so short for the type of elephant.
Lately, the number of elephants of Borneo only left about 80 species which becomes a red concern for the Indonesian government. They have already made the law to protect illegal hunting for the elephant of Borneo’s existence.
