So many Indonesian in almost all over the region still believing supernatural things such as the existence of ghosts. For example, Javanese people have their unique ghost story complete with the haunted places. They believe the ghost still exist there until now.

Not only in Java island that believes in Indonesian mythology, but also for the biggest city in Indonesia such as Jakarta has it. If Javanese believe about the old Javanese lady or some other ghosts from Javanese history, in the history of Jakarta, people frame them in a modern way.

It is no different about haunted places in Jakarta or other regions. It must be a thrilling place and you will have some hard goosebumps while you come through them. Something that makes it different is about the ghost story behind that makes you more spooky to hear.

Here we have some of the most haunted places in Jakarta that you should not get there alone. At least visit them as your family vacation in Jakarta.

1. Manggarai Station

Manggarai station becomes the most haunted place in Jakarta because people believe that there are so many ghosts there. It happened a long time ago in October 1987 when there was a huge train accident.

The accident makes a lot of victims and so many dead of passengers. People believe that their body was so difficult to evacuate so that they become a ghost. Some people believe that sometime in the middle of the night the ghost train running there.

Besides, there also another story about the train driver that didn’t notice the sign of other trains. That becomes a Deaf Ghost story there, and people believe can see him sometime

2. Ancol Bridge

Ancol bridge becomes famous with the beautiful lady ghost that will haunt you. The story begins with the lady call Maryam that always shown herself in the bridge. The lady has been killed from sexually assaulted then the body discarded to the Ancol river.

Since then, the lady ghost sometimes has shown on the bridge. Some so many people admit saw her at night. Because of the beauty of the lady, then people start to call her as “Si Manis Jembatan Ancol” ghost.

3. Lubang Buaya

Lubang Buaya is a haunted place that located in Lubang Buaya, Cipayung, Jakarta Timur. The place becomes so haunted and terrified to come because it has a dark story when G30S/PKI in 1965. It claims as one of the darkest stories in Indonesian history.

At that time, the Indonesian army was slaughter by PKI and the body was thrown away in the river. There are a lot of crocodiles lives there so people call it the Lubang Buaya river. People admit that some times they saw some ghost with Indonesian army clothes at night.

4. Saidah Building

Saidah building used to an office building with 28floors in MT Haryono street. In 2007, the building was permanently closed since no company runs its office there. The stories begin that most employees keep hearing some weird voices and saw a lady ghost calls Kuntilanak frequently.

That is why one by one the company was stepping down from there. Since the story becomes stronger, now the building is empty and more haunted to look.

5. Pondok Indah Empty House

An empty house in Indonesia commonly famous with a ghost story. Just like another empty house, in Pondok Indah’s house at Dharmawangsa has a dark story. A family was living there who slaughtered by some robbers. Since then, there is a lot of family ghosts shown there.

Some people say that there also a Nasi Goreng seller that itinerant there. The story begins when he sells his Nasi Goreng then the ghost shown to asked him to make the Nsi Goreng and bring it home. After sending the Nasi Goreng to the house, he never comes back.

6. Casablanca Tunnel

The tunnel becomes haunted since there was a story about an old lady who comes by night to haunt some men and killed them. An old lady used to a beautiful lady that been slaughtered because of sexual assault.

After that, people claims as the dead body of the lady was thrown in the Casablanca tunnel. Some people say that the ghost haunted some men that go there for revenge.

7. Klender Building Shops

Klender building shops become a horror place for a long time ago. There was a time that Indonesia becomes face a hard crisis in 1998. There were some brutality rob and riot everywhere includes at the Klender building shop in East Jakarta.

One of the most iconic reasons that cause the riot there was the jealousy from poor.  They were jealous of people that shopping in Klender building in the crisis time. They burnt the building even there are a lot of people there.

So many people deadly burnt in Klender building shops at that time. That is why some ghosts have shown there after the accident. People admit they keep hearing some weird crying voice at night.

8. Toko Merah

Toko Merah is one of the buildings in Kota Tua, Jakarta. The story begins in 1851 that there was a riot and slaughtered for the Tiong Hoa tribe. So many people killed there by the armies since diversity in Indonesia still unwelcome at that time. That is why there some voice ghost commonly heard there at night.
