Hiking in Indonesia becomes so popular lately not only for elders but also for youth generations. Since Indonesia has so many mountains with so many challenging tracks, that makes people love to encourage their adrenalin.

1. Mount Api Purba Nglanggeran

The mount Api Purba Nglanggeran is located in Nglanggeran, Patuk, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. The mountain only has about 700 meters above the seawater. It claims that hikers usually finish all the track by one or two hours of tracking. It depends on how you are ready for the track.

2. Besek Mountain

Besek mountain is located between Wonogiri, Central Java, and Pacitan, East Java. It has about 800 meters above the seawater which is categorized as the lower mountain. Commonly, people can reach the top within 30 up to 45 minutes from the start base.

3. Puncak Gadjah

Puncak Gadjah or Gadjah summit is one of the parts of the Pulosari mountain located in Purbalingga, Central Java. It has about 1,440 meters above the seawater that still becomes one part with the foot of the Slamet mountain.

4. Andong Mountain

Andong mountain is located in Magelang between Ngablak, Tlogorojo, and Grabag districts. It has about 1,463 meters above the water sea that is located not far from the Telomoyo mountain in Magelang.

Penanggungan mountain is located on the borderline between Pasuruan and Mojokerto regencies, East Java. It is about 55 kilometers from Surabaya city if you take the train to get there. The mountain has about1,653 meters above the seawater and claims to the sacred mountain in East Java.

There are five routes track to hike the Penanggungan mountain from the Ngloro, Trawas, Tamiajeng, Jalatunda, and Wonosunyo. You can choose one of them by asking the guard which suitable for you the most to take the start.

6. Batur Mountain

Batur Mountain is located in Kintamani, Bangli, Bali which not far from the Agung mountain as the highest mountain in Bali. It becomes one of the most active volcanoes in Bali besides the Agung mountain as one of the mount volcanoes in Indonesia. It reported until 2005, that Batur mountain has about 25 times eruption since 1804.

7. Panderman Mountain

Panderman mountain is located in Batu, East Java which popular with the mountain close to Malang city. The mountain is also popular with the Basundara top mountain.

It has about 2,045 meters above the seawater and has an epic scenery of sunset and sunrise. You will not only capable to enjoy the natural beauty type of forest in Indonesia from the mountain, but also the Batu city from the top.

There is three track route that you can choose start from Malang to Batu, then goes to Latar Ombo, and you will nearly reach the top. It needs about three hours to get there.

8. Puncak Sikunir

Puncak Sikunir is located in Dieng plateau, Wonosobo, Central Java. It has about 2,300 meters above the seawater, but don’t worry because the track is easier than you thought. That because there is already built a sturdier stair to get the top so that you can enjoy the beauty of golden sunrise.
