Indonesia is a country with thousands islands. Due to having many islands, indonesia has a lots of beautiful coastal beach. Some of them even become the most favorite beach for the foreign tourists. However, living in archipelago country means have to be ready for all the risks.

You may think you like to swim, snorkel, dive, or even sunbath in beaches. However, you have to becareful when visit a beach in a country that your not familiar with.  Some beaches in Indonesia sometimes couldn’t be safe to visit there. Here are the list of dangerous beaches in Indonesia.

1. Nusa Lembongan, Bali

Beautiful nature, that’s the capital of Bali to attract many tourists coming to Indonesia. Not only Sanur and Kuta, it turns out Bali has quite a lot of cool and interesting waters that make foreign tourists feel at home staying long in Bali. One of them is Nusa Lembongan, a beautiful island located in the southeast of the island of Bali.

Although beautiful and safe, in fact Nusa Lembongan was a silent witness to the loss of 7 Japanese tourists in 2014. The seven tourists and guides were officially declared missing after not returning after diving in the waters. The seven tourists were swept away by sea water. 2. Munyaifun Island, Raja Ampat

Apart from Bali, eastern Indonesia is no match for natural beauty. One of them is Raja Ampat which is increasingly famous and worldwide. This can be seen from the speed of the wind on the beach which is more roaring than other beaches in Indonesia.

The seabed in Parangtritis is in the form of a basin, tourists like the area because the waves that sweep the coast are relatively smaller in frequency so the water is also calmer, even though in that area the sea waves can come suddenly. Parangtritis also often has the potential of a tsunami because the sea is part of the Indian Ocean, the ocean with fierce waves is directly related to the south pole, if a tsunami occurs then this sea will drag us directly to the south pole without the possibility of being stranded on one of the remote islands.

4. Pulau Banyak

Had been hit by a sweep of the tsunami disaster in 2004, Aceh was finally able to rise and rebuild the city. Many interesting tourist spots are now popular and really hits the traveler. One of them is PulauBanyak, which has a small group of islands in the waters of Aceh Singkil. 5. Sawarna Beach (Lebak, Banten)

It has calm atmosphere because it is still rarely visited by tourists and the white sand is an ideal picture of a beautiful beach. However, you need to be careful there because from the Banten BMKG report the estimated wave height on this beach can reach 1.5 – 3 meters with wind speeds of 24 kilometers per hour. Wind swings move from the southeast at 12 knots so that the waves move from the southeast with a distance of 4-7 kilometers.

Wave characteristics are quite high and strong winds make this beach a dangerous one if we decide to swim there. But if you insist and like to challenge danger, it is strongly recommended to use safety equipment. 6. Bangko-Bangko Beach / Desert Point Beach (Lombok)

Desert Point Beach for surfers all over the world is still considered as the beach with the best waves on earth because it has a very hollow long wave wall that is capable of throwing tongue waves along 300 meters and a height of around three meters. The waves are actually not as dangerous as thought apart from boredom while waiting for the waves to arrive, but to note, of course the shallows of the shallow reefs are in and around the sea adjacent to the coastal area.

8. Teluk Penyu Beach (Cilacap)

Teluk Penyu is a beach located in the south of Central Java, or more precisely in the city of Cilacap. It is said that Teluk Penyu, which used to be a beautiful beach which also saves a lot of danger, one of which is the animal that lives in it, namely krawe.
