  1. Nusa Lembongan, Bali

Beautiful nature, that’s the capital of Bali to attract many tourists coming to Indonesia. Not only Sanur and Kuta, it turns out Bali has quite a lot of cool and interesting waters that make foreign tourists feel at home staying long in Bali. One of them is Nusa Lembongan, a beautiful island located in the southeast of the island of Bali.

Although beautiful and safe, in fact Nusa Lembongan was a silent witness to the loss of 7 Japanese tourists in 2014. The seven tourists and guides were officially declared missing after not returning after diving in the waters. The seven tourists were swept away by sea water. As is known, the area does have waves that are dangerous in certain seasons. You may visit this beach, however take a good care of yourself while swimming or snorkeling.

  1. Munyaifun Island, Raja Ampat

Apart from Bali, eastern Indonesia is no match for natural beauty. One of them is Raja Ampat which is increasingly famous and worldwide. Although the cost of a trip to Raja Ampat is quite expensive, it turns out it does not undermine the intentions of local and foreign travelers to enjoy the beauty of this eastern Indonesian paradise.

Even more beautiful, apparently Raja Ampat is also somewhat dangerous. In the waters of Raja Ampat, there are certain spots inhabited by predators from sharks to crocodiles. One of them is Manyaifun Island, which is the last destination for travelers from Russia. Yes, this woman named Sergei Vasilyevish died after being attacked and dragged by crocodiles to hidden waters.

  1. Parangtritis beach

In terms of science, this beach is dangerous because the sea has backflow due to waves that are not easily predicted. The ocean waves are not the same when they reach the shoreline so that the uniformity causes dangerous backflow. This can be seen from the speed of the wind on the beach which is more roaring than other beaches in Indonesia.

The seabed in Parangtritis is in the form of a basin, tourists like the area because the waves that sweep the coast are relatively smaller in frequency so the water is also calmer, even though in that area the sea waves can come suddenly. Parangtritis also often has the potential of a tsunami because the sea is part of the Indian Ocean, the ocean with fierce waves is directly related to the south pole, if a tsunami occurs then this sea will drag us directly to the south pole without the possibility of being stranded on one of the remote islands.

One of them is PulauBanyak, which has a small group of islands in the waters of Aceh Singkil. Not inferior to other small places, PulauBanyak also attracts attention because of its underwater natural beauty.

Although beautiful and make the eyes cool, it turns out there are some spots that are quite dangerous. The proof is two tourists from Germany and Belgium at the end of 2016 yesterday disappeared without a trace. Both are known to rent kayaks and intend to camp. Suspiciously, both of them were hit by waves in the middle of the sea or dragged by brackish water crocodiles that inhabit these waters.

  1. Sawarna Beach (Lebak, Banten)

The beach which is located in Bayah, less than 4 hours ride or drive from PelabuhanRatu, Sukabumi, this remote beach is more beautiful than Kuta beach in Bali. It has calm atmosphere because it is still rarely visited by tourists and the white sand is an ideal picture of a beautiful beach. A group of coral islands in the middle of the sea decorate the panorama, which makes us never feel sorry to come to that place.

However, you need to be careful there because from the Banten BMKG report the estimated wave height on this beach can reach 1.5 – 3 meters with wind speeds of 24 kilometers per hour. Wind swings move from the southeast at 12 knots so that the waves move from the southeast with a distance of 4-7 kilometers.

Wave characteristics are quite high and strong winds make this beach a dangerous one if we decide to swim there. But if you insist and like to challenge danger, it is strongly recommended to use safety equipment. Besides that, Sawarna beach is also surrounded by rocks which will endanger those who are careless or not good at swimming.

  1. Bangko-Bangko Beach / Desert Point Beach (Lombok)

Desert Point Beach for surfers all over the world is still considered as the beach with the best waves on earth because it has a very hollow long wave wall that is capable of throwing tongue waves along 300 meters and a height of around three meters. The waves are actually not as dangerous as thought apart from boredom while waiting for the waves to arrive, but to note, of course the shallows of the shallow reefs are in and around the sea adjacent to the coastal area.

Gliding and splashing into it is an exciting and thrilling experience, it will be a matter of pride if you succeed in conquering the waves and the back of your hands that are scratched or bleeding when crashed into the reef by ferocious waves instead become a symbol of courage, it’s just that you need to be careful if corals make the serious pain in your body.

  1. Ngantep Beach (Malang)

This beach has relatively calm waves but has a very strong downstream that usually drags the victim. The sea on this beach has three currents: First stream to the east. This current will bring people who drift towards the beach. Usually the victim will survive if carried by the east. Second, it is western currents. These currents often consume tourist victims because these currents wash away people who do not understand the situation in the place towards the trough, it is difficult for them to save themselves if the current traps.

The third is straight. If it is dragged into the middle there is still a possibility that fifty percent can survive, because sometimes this current will drag people towards the trough but it might also return it to the shoreline. So it is necessary to pay attention to signs or warning boards around the coast which areas are categorized as safe for swimming. Outside it is prepared to bear its own consequences.

Krawe or jellyfish roam near the beach or sloping sea. The transparent shape makes us unconscious when exposed but after that the effect is itchy, very, very painful, it can even make humans faint.

Because it is still part of the southern sea, the sea on the coast of the turtle bay is almost as dangerous as parangtritis in Yogyakarta. In August, as now, the east wind can cause waves as high as 2.5 meters in the coastal area and 3.5 meters in the ocean region.

Maybe that’s why many tourists also come to this beach to surf but be careful if you get to the ocean because there are a lot of sharks hanging around. So familiar was the shark herd that when Johnny Indo managed to escape from Nusakambangan to Cilacap by swimming across the sea his story became a legend.
