1. Bau Nyale People’s Party
Folk Party of Bau Nyale is a celebration of joy over the legendary Princess Mandalika who willingly plunge herself into death by the sea rather than get married to the Crown Prince of Lombok Kingdom.

This tradition is commemorated by capturing sea worms that citizens believe as the incarnation of a princess in the legend of Princess Mandalika. 5. Tambora, Welcoming The World
Tambora Festival of Welcoming the World is held to commemorate 200 years of the eruption of Mount Tambora that occurred in 1815. The festival which will be held on April 10 is done by Tourism Event of NTB. In addition to this event then you can also watch the Festival Mbojo or Horse Racing performed by small children to be held on April 3-10 to also commemorate 201 years of Tambora eruption.

16. Periseian
Martial arts have been around since the days of the kingdoms in Lombok, originally a kind of sword and shield practice before going to the battlefield. In its development, until now the weapons used in this tradition is in the form of a rattan with a layer of asphalt and broken glass smoothed, while the shield made of cow or buffalo skin. Each player is equipped with a headband and a long cloth.

The match will be terminated if one of the players is bleeding or the event is stopped by the jury. The Periseian festival is held every year in East Lombok Regency

17. Tandang Mendet
Tandang Mendet Dance comes from the word “Mendet” which means joy or success. The Mendet dance or War dance is one of the dances that existed since the glorious period of the Selaparang kingdom depicted by warriors performing it. This dance is performed by dozens of people dressed up with spears, shields, swords and accompanied by drums and songs that tell about the courage and struggle of the soldier.
